DAY 1: EXPLORE THE OLD AND THE NEW

TOUR THE OLD COLONIAL HOUSES (TOUR)
On the Black and White Houses Tour by Jane’s Singapore Tours, visitors will learn about the history, architecture and heritage behind the iconic black and white colonial houses in Singapore. Hear stories about who lived in them, why they were built and how they are currently used as residences and commercial establishments.
AFTERNOON
LUNCH AT AN AWARD WINNING RESTAURANT (DINE)
Head to one-Michelin-starred Crystal Jade Golden Palace (crystaljade.com/goldenpalace) for Teochew and Cantonese favourites like cold crab, sugarcoated yam, Cantonese barbecued meat and assorted seafood dishes. Visitors with a more adventurous palate should opt for contemporary offerings such as the Chilled Foie Gras with Sake and Stir-fried Ramen with Lobster in XO Sauce.
TAKE A SPA BREAK (RELAX/SHOP)
Indulge in a pampering session at the homegrown apothecary, Spa Esprit® (spa-esprit.com), located in Wheelock Place, an upmarket mall along Orchard Road. The spa’s slow flow massage and Triple Muscle Blast massage are designed to help visitors relax after a day of exploring Singapore. Post-massage, visitors can spend the rest of the afternoon shopping at Paragon, which houses art galleries and fashion brands like Michael Kors and Givenchy. Other luxury malls in the area include ION Orchard and Mandarin Gallery (mandaringallery.com.sg).

ENJOY A SCENIC TOUR AND A SUMPTUOUS MEAL

On board the GOURMETbus, visitors are taken on a novel dining experience on the move. They will get to enjoy dishes from MICHELIN Bib Gourmand eateries while touring the city centre, driving past popular landmarks such as the Esplanade Theatre, Marina Bay Sands® and Singapore Flyer. There is even an opportunity to get a close-up look of Gardens by the Bay’s unique Supertrees during a scheduled stop.
DINNER WITH A VIEW (EXPERIENCE)
As dusk falls, visitors can head to Gardens by the Bay (gardensbythebay.com.sg) for the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show (Mon–Sun, 7.45 & 8.45pm). They can have dinner at Pollen, a two-storey restaurant located within the garden in the Flower Dome. Pollen serves seasonal dishes prepared with fresh herbs and vegetables picked from its very own in-house garden. Visitors can kick back with a glass of house pour wine and take in the panoramic views of the Marina Bay waterfront and skyline.
DAY 2: TIME OUT WITH NATURE

GO ON A TREETOP WALK

Nestled within MacRitchie Reservoir Park, the TreeTop Walk (nparks.gov.sg) is a 250 metre-long freestanding suspension bridge, which connects to the two highest points in MacRitchie. From atop the bridge, visitors get a bird’s-eye view of the forest and is a prime position to spot wildlife creatures.

VISIT THE SINGAPORE ZOO

Visitors can spend their afternoon at the award-winning Singapore Zoo, where they will get to see more than 2,800 animals and over 300 species of wildlife roaming around freely in their natural habitats, including endangered creatures like the Malayan tapir. The 26-hectare zoo, which is divided into nine zones, also offers educational and discovery experiences, such as the Wild Discoverer Tours–which gives visitors a behind-the-scenes look at some of the zoo’s popular exhibits.
LUNCH AT AH MENG RESTAURANT (DINE)
This restaurant (wrs.com.sg/en/singapore-zoo/things-to-do/dine-and-shop.html) at the Singapore Zoo is named after the late Ah Meng, a Sumatran orangutan, famed for her friendly demeanour. During her tenure as the zoo’s animal ambassador, she met celebrities like Prince Philip and Michael Jackson. At the restaurant, visitors can indulge in local favourites such as Hainanese chicken rice and nasi lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk served with an array of side dishes).
TAKE OFF ON A RIVER ADVENTURE (EXPLORE)
River Wonders, located next to the Singapore Zoo, has one of the world’s largest collections of freshwater animals, housed in iconic habitats modelled after the Congo River, Amazon River, Mekong River and more. Coo over the giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia, who dwell in the Giant Panda Forest near a replica of the Yangtze River, and other animals such as the Brazilian tapir.

DINE AT SINGAPORE BOTANIC GARDENS (DINE)
The Halia is a halal restaurant located in the Ginger Garden of Singapore Botanic Gardens. The establishment, whose name is Malay for ginger, is a chic spot where diners can get up-close with more than 250 species of ginger and their colourful foliage. Try Halia’s alluring range of specialty drinks with herb infusions such as Grapefruit and Tarragon. The beautifully plated dishes are designed to be communal, so diners can pick a variety of them to share.
