SENTOSA
Located just minutes from mainland Singapore, Sentosa is the country’s premier island resort destination, offering a mix of attractions, beaches, entertainment and leisure experiences all within one integrated getaway
Known for its lively atmosphere and wide variety of activities, the island attracts both tourists and locals looking for everything from thrilling adventures to relaxing seaside escapes.
One of Sentosa’s most well-known attractions is Universal Studios Singapore, Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park. Featuring themed zones inspired by blockbuster films and television shows, the park offers rollercoasters, live performances and family-friendly rides that remain popular throughout the year. Nearby, visitors can also explore S.E.A. Aquarium, home to thousands of marine creatures including manta rays, sharks and colourful coral fish displayed across massive underwater habitats.

Sentosa is equally known for its beaches, each offering a different experience. Siloso Beach is the island’s most vibrant stretch, lined with beach bars, restaurants and recreational activities. Palawan Beach is popular among families due to its suspension bridge, calm waters and child-friendly attractions, while Tanjong Beach provides a quieter setting ideal for relaxation and sunset views.
Beyond its attractions, Sentosa is also home to luxury resorts, waterfront dining and integrated entertainment experiences. Resorts World Sentosa combines hotels, restaurants and attractions within a single destination, making it a major highlight for visitors staying on the island. In the evenings, Sentosa comes alive with beachfront dining, nightlife spots and light displays that create a lively resort atmosphere by the sea.

Adventure seekers will find no shortage of activities on the island. Skyline Luge Singapore allows visitors to race downhill on gravity-powered carts while enjoying scenic coastal views, while AJ Hackett Sentosa offers adrenaline-filled experiences such as bungy jumping and giant swings overlooking the beach. Water sports, ziplining and obstacle courses around Siloso Beach further add to Sentosa’s energetic atmosphere.

The most popular way is via the Sentosa Express, a monorail service that departs from VivoCity shopping mall at HarbourFront. Visitors can board from Level 3 and travel directly into Sentosa, with stops at Resorts World, Imbiah and Beach Station.
Another scenic option is the Sentosa Boardwalk, a sheltered pedestrian walkway connecting VivoCity to the island. The walk takes around 10 to 15 minutes and offers waterfront views along the way.
For those travelling by public transport, visitors can take the MRT to HarbourFront MRT Station on the North-East or Circle Line before transferring to the Sentosa Express or walking across the boardwalk.
Guests can also enter Sentosa by car, taxi or private-hire services via the Sentosa Gateway. Parking is available across the island, especially near attractions such as Resorts World Sentosa and the beach areas.
For a more unique arrival experience, the Singapore Cable Car offers panoramic aerial views while travelling between Mount Faber, HarbourFront and Sentosa.
